In preparation for participating in the Virtual Academy Online and
attending the first face-to-face class, you should complete some
orientation activities.
1. Review the Virtual Academy schedule by accessing the Schedule
link from the menu to the left.
2. Confirm that you meet the
hardware and software requirements for the course by accessing the Technical
Requirements link from the menu to the left.
3. Confirm
that you have the academic computing accounts necessary for the course
by accessing the Computing Accounts link from the menu to the
left.
4. Complete the Logging In Tutorial by accessing
the Tutorials link from the menu to the left.
5. Address
any administrative or technical question to either Joel Martin or Don
Stitz after reviewing our responses to Frequently Asked Questions (the
FAQ link on the menu to the left). Please address administrative
questions to Joel Martin
(410.455.4584) and technical questions to Don
Stitz (410.455.4513).
6. Log in to your myWebCT page. There
you will find at least two courses listed. The Virtual Academy
Online course is the course for which your are registered. The
second course is the course for which you are the designer.
7.
Enter the Virtual Academy Online course.
8. Click on the Start
Here icon and complete the orientation activity.
