CCBC Scholarships and Grants


Scholarships and grants are types of financial assistance that do not need to be repaid. They are typically awarded to students who have demonstrated financial need, academic merit, or are preparing for certain career fields.

You need to complete these steps before applying for a grant or scholarship:

Admissions and Enrollment Financial Aid

You will need your CCBC student ID number.

This ID number was assigned to you when you applied for admission to CCBC. If you do not remember your ID number, contact the Admissions office.

If you have not yet applied for admission, apply now and you will receive your student ID number.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Know your program of study.

Visit SIMON to check your information. If you need to make a change, complete this Change of Student Information form and return it to the Enrollment Services Center. Scholarships are linked to your program of study so it is very important that this information is correct.

If you are a current CCBC student with 12 or more earned credits, you are not required to submit a transcript.

You are required to submit an unofficial high school transcript if you have earned:

  • fewer than 12 CCBC credits
  • college credits from other colleges/universities.

Register for courses.

After you register for classes, your CCBC student email will be available to you. Visit MyCCBC to retrieve your username and password.

CCBC will correspond with you only through your CCBC email account.

Consistently meet financial aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements.

Apply now for CCBC scholarships and grants. You must be registered in classes for at least 24 hours before you can apply for scholarships.

Each scholarship and grant may have a different requirement. Be sure to read and understand the criteria and submit the requested documents.

Award Notification:

  • You will be notified by CCBC email approximately 15 business days after the application closing date if you are selected.
  • If you are not selected for an award, you will not be notified. You may check the status of your grant or scholarship application in your AcademicWorks account.
  • Your scholarship will NOT be applied to your account until a typed thank you letter is received by the Financial Aid office.
  • CCBC reserves the right to adjust or cancel your scholarship or grant at any time if it is determined you do not meet the qualifications.
