CCBC Foundation Boards’ Guidelines for Request for Funding Proposals

The CCBC Foundation, Inc. is now accepting requests for the FALL 2014 program support. They are encouraging all departments and programs to take advantage of an outstanding funding opportunity by applying for foundation grants.

Proposals will be evaluated based on the level of impact they have on students and academic excellence. Please note awards per funding request range from $500 to $3,500.00. Applicants can receive one award per academic year. Proposals should be returned to the CCBC Foundation by March 1, 2014. The Foundation Board may request a presentation at the approval meeting.

The CCBC Foundation Boards will review applications at their March meetings and will make final approval at their June meetings. Notification will be sent out in late June.

A written request containing the information outlined below should be addressed to the CCBC Foundation, Inc. for consideration and approval. The proposal is required to be signed by one of the following: Area Supervisor, Dean, Area Director, or Administrator.

  1. Applicants name, contact information, school and department
  2. Request Catagories
    • Teaching and Learning Excellence
      • Student success initiatives
      • Student fundraising events
    • Support for Faculty
      • Professional development / travel support ($500 max)
      • Equipment / training
    • Program Support
      • Development of new, innovative academic and workforce development programs like the "Center for Global Education"
      • Equipment for special programs
    • Community Engagement
      • Programs and initiatives designed to support educational communities served by CCBC
      • Support student initiatives in community volunteering

  4. Impact on Focus Areas
  5. Amount of Request
  6. Completion Date

Special Notes

  • Recipient of a grant must submit a summary report upon completion of the project detailing outcomes (success).
  • Grants will not cover ongoing CCBC operating expenses or student scholarships.
