OVERVIEW:
A joint venture between Howard Community College and CCBC.
Spend three weeks in China studying the Chinese language at a premier school (University of Soochow, in Suzhou) and earn academic credits or a Certificate of Proficiency. Travel to China and work with a professional staff of Chinese instructors on language acquisition, conversation skills, and Chinese culture. The participant will meet students from around the world at the Soochow campus and will be placed in small classes, based upon their level of Chinese language proficiency, for four hours each day. In the evenings and on the weekends, there will be excursions and expeditions where the participant will have more opportunities to absorb the language and culture of China.
