Cruise on the Danube and the Christmas markets

Join us for a wonderful 9-day, 6-night river cruise on the Danube and visit the famous Christmas markets along the way. Your trip begins with an overnight flight to Europe where you will arrive in Vienna, Austria's capital city. You will board the cruise ship there and unpack once for a most relaxing cruise. We will spend the first 2 days in Vienna and tour the Imperial architecture of this beautiful city, including the Hofburg Palace, the impressive Opera House, the majestic Ringstrasse, wonderful St. Stephen's Cathedral, and Vienna's most famous Christmas market near the town hall. There will be an optional tour of the famous and opulent Shoenbrunn Palace, the summer retreat of the Habsburg family. Everyone will enjoy an enchanting musical performance after dinner.

The cruise will include Emmersdorf and the romantic Wachau Valley, the 2,000 year old fairy tale city of Passau, with it's Baroque architecture, cobble stone streets, cathedral and Christmas market. We will continue on to Regensburg, one of Germany's best preserved medieval cities with nearly 1,400 historic buildings and Christmas market. We will visit historic Nuremberg, with it's 900-year-old ramparts, the Imperial Castel and Justice Palace, where the War Crimes Tribunal sat in 1946, and it's world famous Christmas market. We will also visit Rothenburg, a beautifully preserved medieval wall. and finally to Wurzburg, which was an ancient Franconian wine town and includes many historic sights, including the 18th century residence of the prince-bishops with the largest ceiling fresco in the world. This tour requires average physical activity. You should be in good health, able to climb stairs and walk reasonable distances, possibly over uneven ground and cobblestones.

COST: $3,099 p.p. for a double room, middle outside cabin or $3199 p.p. for upper outside cabin, $3600.00 for single rooms (extremely limited).

Registration fee: $250 (Due upon registration) Reservations are made on a first come basis.Reservations made after the seat reduction date of April 3, 2010 are based upon availability.

Final Payment: $2849 or $2949, depending upon cabin accommodations, due August 3, 2010. $600.00 extra for a single cabin
