This learning community allows you to improve your reading ability while you fulfill a general education requirement in the Social Sciences.Your reading instructor will use several resources, including your psychology textbook to help you develop your reading skills. In addition, you will meet with a Master Learner in a one-hour seminar each week. This seminar will not only help you to be a more successful student, but it will also satisfy the SDEV 101 requirement that applies to all Reading 052 courses.

LCE: Using Movies to Learn Advanced ESOL Grammar, Reading, and Writing

This course combination makes learning English interesting and fun. We use popular international and American films as a basis for studying advanced English grammar, reading and writing. The movies create intriguing storylines that we use to help you learn grammar, reading and writing. Examples of themes are multicultural understanding and gender, racial, disability and socio-economic issues.
