The Writing Center is located in E 201-A.

HOURS:

Mondays: 9am - 7:30pm

Tuesdays: 8:30am - 5:30pm

Wednesdays: 9am - 8pm

Thursdays: 8:30am - 6:30pm

Fridays: 9am - 12 noon

Saturdays: Check postings for special Saturday hours

Each tutoring session lasts 30 minutes. You may schedule ONE appointment a day and TWO per week.
Writing assigned in all disciplines (not just English classes) may be reviewed.

What should students expect from a tutoring session?

English Department faculty will help you:

• understand writing assignments
• generate ideas for essays
• plan and organize essays
• cite outside information
• revise, edit, and proofread your own essays
• understand teachers' comments on your essays

What should students not expect from a tutoring session?

English Department faculty will not help you:

• write any portions of your essays
• proofread your written work
• comment on grades or predict future grades

What should students bring to a tutoring session?

• class textbook
• the writing assignment
• rough drafts
• specific questions
• graded essays
