In an editorial on the nursing shortage, the Sep. 15 edition of The Sun mentioned CCBC’s partnership with Union Memorial Hospital in offering a fast-track program for practical nursing education.

The Sept. 17 edition of the Daily Record and The Sun posted information about the Job Expo at CCBC Dundalk.

The Dundalk Eagle published an article on Leslie Dowling, CCBC Dundalk’s new softball coach, in its Sept. 18 edition.

The Sept. 21 edition of The Sun included CCBC in a story about business partnerships and workforce training. The article quoted both Dennis Seymour, professor of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences department chair, and Jim Wayne, dean of Workforce Development.

The Sept. 25 edition of the Dundalk Eagle published a letter to the editor from Chancellor McPhail setting the record straight regarding the state of the Dundalk campus.

The Daily Record (Oct. 3) published an announcement of CCBC’s receipt of a $3 million dollar National Science Foundation to create a Maryland Center for Manufacturing Educational Excellence. An online edition of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce newsletter also published the announcement.

The October issue of Senior Digest included information regarding CCBC’s Continuing Education class offerings as well as information on Repair Baltimore, a book about recycling and repair, produced by CCBC’s Environment Project.

WBAL-TV featured CCBC Professors Jonathan and Betsey Collins in a news story about Hurricane Isabel in September. The Collins operate a non-profit organization called Caring and Sharing for the Homeless, Inc.
