Grainger supports education at CCBC via $2,000 scholarship for Technical Education programs
May 28 is deadline for scholarship application

For the third year, Grainger has chosen the Community College of Baltimore County to participate in its Tools for Tomorrow scholarship program. This scholarship provides $2,000 to a full-time, second-year student enrolled in one of the college’s technical education programs. Applications are being accepted now through May 28.

Technical Education programs are defined as those leading to an associate degree or licensed certification in electronic systems, heating/air conditioning, plumbing, welding, automotive, construction or other industrial trade. The scholarship will be awarded as a single payment of $2,000, payable to CCBC for the student’s benefit.

W.W. Grainger, Inc. is the leading broad line supplier of facilities maintenance products serving businesses and institutions throughout North America. Since 2006, the Grainger Tools for Tomorrow scholarship program has helped technical education students across the country realize their educational goals. The scholarship recognizes outstanding students with a $2,000 scholarship prior to their second year of schooling and a customized Westward Toolkit upon successful completion of the student’s technical education program.

Last year, the Tools for Tomorrow scholarship went to CCBC student Cherylle Brown. Brown was enrolled in CCBC’s Construction Management program and her goal was to get “hands-on” experience and to one day own her own construction company.

For more information and an application call Greg Case at 410-455-4110. Applications are due May 28.
