CCBC’s Baltimore Symphonic Band to perform its spring concert
7 p.m. Sunday, April 20 at Perry Hall High School

Baltimore County, Md. – The Baltimore Symphonic Band, in residence at CCBC Essex, presents its annual Spring Concert at 7 p.m. Sunday April 20 at Perry Hall High School, 4601 Ebenezer Road.

The theme of this year’s concert is American Music – Old and New. This year the Baltimore Symphonic Band is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story. Other representative composers will include George Gershwin, Aaron Copland and John Philip Sousa.

Featured soloists are Christopher Williams and Christopher Wolfe, both members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, performing the music of Benny Goodman and Lionel Hampton.

The Baltimore Symphonic Band is a community band featuring local performers from throughout greater Baltimore. The Baltimore Symphonic Band is directed by Christopher Wolfe, professor of music at CCBC and assistant principal clarinetist of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Professor Wolfe founded the Baltimore Symphonic Band in 1982. For additional information, visit the BSB Web site.
