CCBC joins Baltimore Area Toyota dealers to raise money for student scholarships Raffle tickets on sale now for a chance to win a 2009 Toyota Corolla
Baltimore County, Md. – A multi-year partnership between the Community College of Baltimore County Foundation and Baltimore Area Toyota dealers is paying off in a big way for students. Nearly $275,000 has been raised over the years with the potential of raising another $60,000 this year through a raffle of a 2009 Toyota Corolla. Tickets for the raffle are on sale now with the drawing scheduled for April 26 at the CCBC 50th Anniversary Gala held at Martin’s Valley Mansion in Hunt Valley, Md. Tickets for the raffle are $10.
“The support that the Baltimore Area Toyota dealers have provided over the years has been phenomenal,” said Vice President of Institutional Advancement Bruce Berman. “They never hesitate to assist us in raising money for students. They not only help us with our car raffle each year, they also support our annual golf tournament. Countless numbers of students have benefited from the scholarship monies raised as a result of this partnership.”
CCBC’s connection with Toyota isn’t limited to fundraising efforts only. The college also runs a statewide Automotive Technology program which prepares students for successful employment or advancement as automotive technicians. This program is designed in cooperation with Toyota Motors and the Maryland Toyota dealerships, along with some additional automotive dealers.
Proceeds from ticket sales benefit scholarships and programs at CCBC. For ticket information call 410-285-9547.
