Children’s Playhouse of Maryland benefit offers
musical entertainment for all ages
Saturday, Sept. 12, B Building Theatre, CCBC Essex; All seats $25
Baltimore County, Md. – CCBC hosts a nostalgic musical F. Scott Black production, Forget Me Not: An Evening at the Ritz, as a fundraiser for the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland, Inc. Billed as an evening of big band nostalgia and singing, the program features The Bel Air Big Band Ensemble and The Parade of Parents, featuring parents and children who have acted in past CCBC productions.
The evening includes a silent auction at 7 p.m., performance at 8 p.m. and a reception after the show. The event will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 in the B Building Theatre at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard. Tickets are $25 for all seats and are available through the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-ARTS (2787) or at the door. All proceeds from this benefit will go to the Children’s Playhouse of Maryland.
The Children’s Playhouse of Maryland, Inc., in residence at CCBC Essex, is dedicated to providing theatrical experiences for young people in Baltimore’s diverse metropolitan area. The goals of CPM are: to make live theatre accessible to all children, to enable young people to gain an appreciation of the arts as well as confidence and a sense of responsibility and to provide training and practice in acting and theatre production for youth. Providing classes, summer camps and performing opportunities for young performers under 18 years of age, Children's Playhouse of Maryland produces five musicals a year in the J Building Lecture Hall at CCBC Essex.
