CCBC seeking nominees for the President’s Distinguished Graduate Award
Application deadline is March 25

Baltimore County, MD – The Office of Student Life at the Community College of Baltimore County is seeking nominations for the President’s Distinguished Graduate Award to be presented at its May 30 Commencement ceremony.

Applications are available from the Student Life offices on each campus or from the College Life page on the CCBC Web site. Applications must be submitted to Fred Bartlett, Jr., CCBC Catonsville, room J- 200, by Wednesday, March 25.

Criteria for the award include:

  • The nominee must be a Spring 2009 graduating student in a degree program.
  • The nominee should have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and service in helping others and may have overcome significant challenges in this achievement.
  • The recipient must have a minimum of 3.5 GPA.
  • Fifty percent of the nominee’s program must have been completed at CCBC.
  • The recipient must be present at the May 30 graduation ceremony at CCBC Essex.
  • The recipient must meet all of the preceding criteria.

Interested students must complete a biographical information sheet and must be nominated by a member of CCBC faculty or staff. Finalists must make themselves available for interviews.
