CCBC’s Community Book Connection hosts Eric Schlosser, author of ‘Fast Food Nation’

Baltimore County, Md. – Since last September hundreds of students, faculty and staff on the campuses of the Community College of Baltimore County have been reading Eric Schlosser’s book, “Fast Food Nation” as part of the CCBC Community Book Connection, an annual project of formal and informal discussions around a central theme in a book.
Schlosser, a National Magazine Award–winning investigative journalist, will discuss his 2001 exposé of the “dark side of the All-American meal” during a lecture and reception/book signing 12:20 p.m., Wednesday, March 25 in the “B” Building Theatre at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard and 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 26 in room H-308-ABC of the “H” Building at CCBC Catonsville, 800 South Rolling Road. Holders of FREE tickets, which are available through the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-ARTS, will be given priority seating.
In “Fast Food Nation -- the dark side of the All-American Meal,” Schlosser delves into the societal effects of everything from the way food is grown and transported to the problems of assembly line food preparation.
