| SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR NEW CCBC STUDENTS
Baltimore County, Md. -- For Fall 2003, the Science, Technology, Engineering,
Mathematics (STEM) scholarship program has several $1,000 scholarships
still available for new full-time students at The Community College of
Baltimore County (CCBC).
Applicants must be majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental
Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics. Other qualifications
include admission to CCBC, a 2.5 grade point average, ready for Math 083
or higher and status as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien or refugee
alien. Financial need is not a requirement. In addition to the scholarship,
awardees may receive support services such as faculty advisement and mentoring,
a two-week summer career exploration experience from August 11 - 22, and
an internship opportunity. The deadline to apply is August 5.

letter of recommendation from a teacher and a short essay on your interest
