Yasmin D'Souza CCBC student Floristry   What brought you to CCBC? I have worked in an office for years, so when it came time to think about my second career I knew I wanted something more flexible. When I decided I wanted to try Floral Design, I did some research and realized CCBC is the only school in Maryland that offers a program. Now when I retire from my current job, I am ready to have a career that is totally different. Tell us about the instructors. The teachers here are wonderful; they offer lots of support. You can reach them at any time. All of my instructors have really gone 'above and beyond' for their students. What was your experience attending CCBC while working full time? The staff at CCBC and the instructors are very accommodating and supportive. Many of my teachers posted the lessons on the college Web site, so if you missed a class you could catch up. The flexibility CCBC offers is very important to me. Since I work during the day, I needed to be able to take courses and talk with staff in the evenings and on weekends.
