Department Chairpersons and/or budget unit heads shall have the responsibility of developing the schedule of classes and services to be offered at all campus sites and shall assign faculty in their areas to instructional assignments at any college campus locale.  While teaching and professional assignment preferences are significant, schedules cannot be developed solely on the personal preference of faculty or professional staff members.  Chairpersons and/or budget unit heads will make every effort to insure equitable assignments with respect to load, location and time assignments.   Individual preferences will be considered when such preferences do not adversely affect the best interests of the students, the quality of instruction and/or service, the attainment of the goals of the College, and equitable treatment of all faculty or professional staff members.
