The Professional Affairs Council makes recommendations concerning:
conditions of employment; definition of professional and employment
status; recruitment; duties and responsibilities; evaluation; retention
and promotion; professional development; academic freedom; due process
and grievances; budget and planning; and other professional affairs
issues. (Matters that are covered by union contracts or that are subject
to union collective bargaining are not dealt with by this
committee.) The Professional Affairs Council consists of fifteen members:

Six teaching faculty (two from each campus).

Three administrative and professional personnel (one from each campus).

Three classified employees (one from each campus).

Three students (one from each campus).
