Promotion Committee Compostion
1. The representation of the Promotion Committee will be those with full
time faculty status and who are actively employed during the academic year
(not on sabbatical or leave). Representatives must have successfully gone
through a promotion cycle.
2. The representation of the Promotion Committee will be chosen
reflecting the approximate ratio of 25 full time faculty members to 1
representative. (The following apportion reflects Division/School
representation February 2, 2004)

3. The divisional/school representation will be revisited every 3 years
to maintain the appropriate ration of representation of membership.
4. The terms of the representatives will be staggered 2-year and 3-year
terms with membership split evenly.
5. Every effort will be made during the selection of faculty to serve on
the Promotion Committee to have the division/school representation
reflect departmental representation.
6. Any representative to the Promotion Committee who is a candidate for
promotion that academic year will find an alternate representative to
replace them on the committee.
