Technology Training Opportunities
The Community College of Baltimore County's Employee Technology Centers (ETC's) are multi-purposed, multi-faceted, state of the art technology training and support centers. There is a center located on each of the three main campuses. The centers provide CCBC employees with FREE technology training/support with both short term structured as well as more in-depth structured technology classes, walk-in technology support hours, face-to-face appointments and electronic training and support options as well as access to a wide variety of technology resources.
These resources assist users with the integration of technology into the classroom as well as easier completion of daily tasks including administrative functions/tools. See the ETC web site for more specific information and a schedule of dates and times for future workshops.
Banner Navigation class is provided as an introductory course to Banner. Participants will learn how to sign on to the CCBC server and log in to Banner and online Banner Help. A briefing of system modules is presented. However, the Student System is used as the model to provide an overview of the standard layout of Banner "forms" or screens. Specific "Banner" terminology is defined and participants are exposed to menu driven and direct access application flow. The three different types of Banner forms navigation - icons, drop-down menus or function keys - are demonstrated and participants are provided the opportunity for hands-on Banner experience. Training reference materials are provided to each participant.
