Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Scholarships

Applications are no longer being accepted for this scholarship. No additional funding is available for this program.

The S-STEM Scholarships will be awarded to full-time students in any of these Associate degree programs:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering
  • Environmental Science
  • Mathematics
  • Physics

Scholarships Available

With National Science Foundation funding, The Community College of Baltimore County will award approximately 20 scholarships per year, for up to four years beginning Fall 2008. Scholarships will be for amounts of up to $10,000 per year ($5,000 per semester) or the amount of your unmet federal financial need, whichever is less. Scholarships can be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, equipment, and other special needs, such as transportation, and dependent care. Awardees receive academic and mentoring support from faculty and participate in a required two-day summer career experience in August, a January STEM career day experience, and a career luncheon seminar each semester. STEM Internships with $1800 stipends for 120 work hours are also available for awardees.
