We teach the teachers.

Everyone remembers their favorite teacher, that figure who inspired a love of learning and motivated them to excel. CCBC's teacher training combines general education courses with field experience to get you ready for the classroom where you can make a difference in students' lives.

Whether you are just beginning a degree, are currently working in the education field, or hold a bachelor's degree and are seeking certification in Maryland, we've got the program for you. Several of our programs are available fully online!

We also offer the Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.), which provides a guaranteed path for students seeking a seamless transfer to most Maryland colleges' Teacher Education programs.

Associate of Arts

The Associate of Arts in the following degree options is for students who changed their major from another program or degree option where they earned 35 or more credits.

Associate of Applied Science

The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) prepares you for a variety of career opportunities in the child care field. A.A.S. degree holders may pursue careers as program directors, senior staff teachers and assistants for quality child care centers and preschools.

Associate of Arts in Teaching

The Teacher Education Program offers the Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.), which provides a guaranteed path for students seeking a seamless transfer to Maryland four-year public, independent, and most private institutions in one of the following teacher education majors.
