Bright and early Saturday morning we’ll make our way to beautiful Cumberland, Maryland where we will meet our guide and enjoy a tour of the C & O Canal Museum.

Then it’s “all aboard” the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad for an excursion through the Alleghenies to Frostburg and the Old Depot. There will be time to explore the Thrasher Carriage Museum before boarding the coach and traveling to the Casselman Inn for lunch.

Then it’s on to Deep Creek Cellars to enjoy this pioneering winery where we’ll enjoy a tour and tasting of the wines that are inspired by the wines of Europe.

We’ll be lodging at the Best Western Braddock and will enjoy dinner paired with a wine tasting. 

On Sunday we’ll visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, with lunch and a tour at Nemacolin Woods Resort. Before departing for home we’ll make a stop at Christian Klay Winery for some more wine tasting.

This trip will depart from and return to the Essex Campus of CCBC.

New York City with Radio City Christmas Spectacular
Thursday-Friday, December 10-11, 2009

We’ll arrive in the early afternoon so we’ll have the whole day free to check out Macy’s and Rockefeller Center for shopping and sightseeing.

This evening we have tickets for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

On Friday we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Manhattan which will include the famous buildings and colorful districts such as Soho and Chinatown.

We’ll stop for lunch at New York’s famous South Street Seaport, located in the historic district where Fulton Street meets the East River. It features some of the oldest architecture in downtown Manhattan.

After the tour we’ll enjoy some shopping along Fifth Avenue at Trump Towers and Sak’s before we depart for home.
