Become a Tutor
Tutors play a vital role in the Student Success Center. They are knowledgeable, reliable, patient, positive and hard-working. They not only work with students to help them become independent learners, master content material, and employ good study skills but they also assist in the day-to-day operations of the Student Success Center.
Requirements

Content competency: a 4.0 in the courses to be tutored or other proof of content ability deemed appropriate by a content instructor.

Recommendations from instructor of subject to be tutored.

A competitive GPA: 3.5 or higher is preferred, but 3.0 is required.

Sophomore standing is preferred, but those who have completed 10 credits at the college level will be considered.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Sensitivity, understanding and the ability to relate to students with various academic levels and needs.
