Getting Started at CCBC is Easy !!

Enrollment Steps Checklist

  1. APPLY to CCBC, submit the CCBC application for admissions either on-line, mail or in-person.Visit www.ccbcmd.edu/admissions/application.html to complete the application.
  2. REQUEST official (sealed) transcripts from prior colleges attended.If you took a standardized test ( SAT,ACTor Accuplacer scores at another college) within two years from the date you apply to CCBC you may be exempt from placement testing. Official transcripts can be mailed to the CCBC Office of Records and Registration of the campus you wish to attend or hand delivered in an un-opened envelope.

  3. APPLY for financial aid if you plan to obtain a certificate or associate’s degree. The application for financial aid can be found online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The CCBC school code is 002063.

  4. MEET with an Academic Advisor to determine if placement testing is necessary. Provide copies of transcripts (official or unofficial) from previous colleges or grade reports, and SAT or ACT scores (if available).

  5. IF you need reasonable accommodations based on a disabilitiy, contact the Disability Support Services Office.

  6. COMPLETE the placement test, if necessary, in the Testing Center. Appointments are not required. Meet with an Academic Advisor for test results and assistance with course selection and/or orientation.

  7. TAKE advantage of CCBC's online orientation,You'll learn how to build your schedule, navigate through the registration process, and see the programs available for student success.

  8. REGISTER for classes either in person at the Office of Records and Registration, or register online.

  9. PAY tuition and fees and/or arrange for Tuition payment with the Bursar’s Office. NOTE; For Vocational Rehabilitation-Chapter 31 and Post-9/11 GI Bill-Chapter 33 notify your VA Certifying Official or the FA office immediately to request a VA protection code for your classes. ALWAYS SUMBIT a copy of the Schedule/Bill to the VA Certifying Official, which are available at the Bursar’s Office or online.

  10. BUY your textbooks in the CCBC Bookstore, located on each of the three campuses.

  11. ATTEND CLASSES and WELCOME TO CCBC!
