CCBC offering Small Business Ownership Program for aspiring entrepreneurs

CCBC’s Center for Business Innovation is offering a Small Business Ownership Program for aspiring entrepreneurs seeking to start or grow their own business. This 12-session series covers a broad range of subjects critical to the success and sustainability of a new or existing business venture.

Experienced business professionals will guide students as they explore topics such as: acquiring funding; business management basics; effective sales and marketing strategies; fundamentals of business law; important accounting and bookkeeping principles; pricing for profitability; social media marketing tactics; understanding business insurance; and conducting market research.

The cost of the 12 sessions is $99. Sessions will be offered on-site* at CCBC Owings Mills and online:

  • Cohort I: Saturdays, 9 a.m.–noon February 27–June 5, 2021; online via Zoom (CRN: 34794)
  • Cohort II: Tuesday/Thursday, 6–9 p.m. April 20–May 21, 2021; CCBC Owings Mills (CRN: 34793)
*Please note that face coverings and social distancing are required while on campus.

Participants who complete this program are eligible to participate in CCBC’s Center for Business Innovation’s Annual Business Plan Competition where winning business proposals can earn support for a start-up business and up to $20,000 in seed money. The competition begins Fall 2021.
