CCBC names Kimberly Ellison-Taylor 2022 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year

Community College of Baltimore County is pleased to announce that Kimberly Ellison-Taylor has been named the 2022 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. Ellison-Taylor will be honored on May 12 at the annual Student Life Banquet, which is scheduled to be held in a hybrid format.Ellison-Taylor is a 1998 graduate of CCBC, where she earned her Accounting degree. She is a global technology and finance leader with over 30 years of career achievements. She is currently the CEO of KET Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm focused on business growth, innovation, strategy, transformation and inclusive leadership. Ellison-Taylor is the first African American female to be selected for the Distinguished Alumnus award.
In addition to serving as an adjunct professor for Carnegie Mellon University’s Chief Information Officer Certificate program teaching Emerging Technologies & Innovation, Ellison-Taylor is also an independent board director. She is a sought-after keynote speaker and has received many awards and recognitions for her expertise and leadership including Accounting Today's Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting and CPA Practice Advisor's 25 Most Powerful Women in Accounting.
For almost 17 years, Ellison-Taylor served in global leadership roles for Oracle Corporation where she advised C-Suite Executives on cloud solutions that innovate and transform business. Previous employment includes NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Motorola, KPMG, and Prince George’s County Government where she served as Chief Information Technology Officer. Ellison-Taylor is a committed volunteer and has served in past leadership role as Chairman of the American Institute of CPAs, Chairman of the Maryland Association of CPAs and President of her local chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc, a community service organization.

We are incredibly lucky to have her share her time and expertise with us and happy to name her as our 2022 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year.”
After graduating from CCBC, Ellison-Taylor earned her Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from University of Maryland Baltimore County, MBA from Loyola University and Master of Science in Information Technology Management and Chief Information Officer Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a certified public accountant, certified global management accountant and certified information systems auditor.
