Jay M. Weinstein, AEP, a Lutherville resident, was appointed to the CCBC Board of Trustees by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan.

He is the Chief Executive Officer of Wealth Preservation Inc., an insurance agent, broker and employee benefit agency located in Lutherville, Maryland. With more than 36 years of experience in the insurance industry, Weinstein is an Accredited Estate Planner.

He received his Chartered Life Underwriter designation and Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College of Financial Services in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and is a Licensed Insurance Advisor for the state of Maryland. Weinstein earned a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Maryland College Park and also attended the Carey Business School at the Johns Hopkins University.

Weinstein is the past president of the Maryland Association of Health Underwriters, a board member of the Baltimore Life Underwriters Association and a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriters.

An active and longtime supporter of a number of charitable organizations in the Baltimore area, Weinstein was the Baltimore Region chair of the American Heart Association, Chair of the Planned Giving Council for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and a board member of the Independent Dialysis Foundation, the Kidney Foundation of Maryland, Beth Israel Congregation, and Jewish Family and Children Services. He was also a director of Associated Jewish Charities and Welfare Fund, a member of Governor's Committee for Drug and Alcohol Abuse, and a certified mentor for SCORE.
