The Secret Life of Bees emphasizes the power of writing, finding your voice and the importance of community. Community Book Connection is excited to celebrate 20 years of collaboration with this very special day of poetry, performances, open mics, workshops and a competitive slam (with cash prizes). Together with DewMore Baltimore (the Black Arts District) and the Creative Writing program, CBC will host local high school and college students for this all-day festival.
Space is limited so participants must RSVP in advance. Participants will receive snacks, a free lunch, a gift bag and a copy of some of the most popular CBC books over 20 years.
