Jeff Stern will present a riveting program of recent works for marimba, vibraphone and electronics to CCBC. Whether polyrhythmically grooving alongside a distorted reflection of acoustic sound, playing chamber music with the echos of his notes in real time, or simply using physical gestures as means of contextualizing synthesized audio effects, Jeff immerses, captivates and transports listeners into his distinctively intriguing environment. Come prepared to be opened up to the vast possibilities of what percussion can do – dance, sing, provoke, move, entrance and more.
