Explore the universe through the Hubble Space Telescope

Come see some of the amazing images taken by Hubble on the dome and learn about its future! The Hubble Space Telescope was launched on April 24, 1990, aboard the space shuttle Discovery. It underwent five subsequent servicing missions in 1993, 1997, 1999, 2002 and 2009.

After all this time—and despite the fact that ground-based telescope technology now surpasses it—Hubble continues to astound us with new discoveries, now complemented by the James Webb Space Telescope.
