Many stars have their own planets

Come join us us to learn more about stars and their planets. Since the early 1990’s we have known that there are planets going around other stars called exoplanets. This show, accompanied by a video, will explain how we search for them and how we figure out their characteristics.

In the video, a girl named Celeste, and her companion named Moon observe rogue planets, oceanic worlds and super-Earths. Moon tells her about exoplanet hunters, who observe the sky in search of planets like Earth. Many adventures are yet to come, so Celeste drops off to sleep waiting for the next visit from Moon.

You will also be introduced to a website which lets you search for exoplanets at home.

This is a kid friendly show, as are all the Saturday morning Planetarium shows at CCBC.There is no admission charge, and tickets are not required. We look forward to welcoming you and your family!
