Did you know that the vast majority of stars are NOT like our Sun, alone in its own neighborhood in space?
No, there are many examples of binary, ternary, quadruple, and even sextuplet star groups, all orbiting around a common point in space or each other. Many of these, like Alpha Centauri, Sirius, Castor and even Polaris, our North Star, are actually multiple star systems that each appear as a single star to our unaided eyes. In the planetarium, we can strap on our seat belts and travel in our Ship of the Imagination to each of these and more to see what they look like up close.
