Ms. Barilone currently serves as the Director of the Victim’s Rights–Victim Assistance Project at Maryland Legal Aid. In this role, she provides legal representation to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, and human trafficking. She also collaborates with staff attorneys across a broad range of civil legal matters to ensure comprehensive support for vulnerable clients.
Prior to her tenure at Maryland Legal Aid, Ms. Barilone served as an Assistant Public Defender with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender. There, she represented individuals facing criminal and traffic charges in bench and jury trials, bail reviews, probation violation hearings, and sentencing modifications.
Ms. Barilone earned her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in May 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Trinity University in Washington, D.C., awarded in May 2006.
