Tree Campus Team

Our goal is to identify, map, and assess all trees on the Essex campus and ensure their long-term health and sustainability.

The Tree Campus Team is a subcommittee of the College-Wide Sustainability Committee working to earn Tree Campus Higher Education certification for CCBC. This national recognition is awarded by the Arbor Day Foundation to institutions committed to effective tree management, campus engagement, and environmental stewardship.

Through this work, we are helping ensure that CCBC not only celebrates trees, but actively protects and invests in them for generations to come.

Being on the Tree Campus Team allows me to apply GIS in real-world settings, learn about tree species and help promote a more sustainable campus.
