CCBC Global Education presents 2023 Murthy/Reihl Lecture April 20

The Murthy/Reihl Global Education Leadership Lecture “Eliminating Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities: Economic and Public Health Impacts of Covid-19” will be held 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Thursday, April 20 via Zoom.

Guest speakers include Dr. Iffath Syed, assistant professor and program coordinator, Health Policy and Administration at Penn State Shenango, and Dr. Oliver Schlake, clinical professor at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland and a senior business consultant, entrepreneur and researcher.

The Murthy/Reihl Global Education Leadership Lecture Series at CCBC brings notable speakers to campus each year, expanding student’s access to community leaders while providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to become global citizens.

The series was launched in 2012 by notable immigration attorney Sheela Murthy, founder and president of the Murthy Law Firm and the Murthy Nayak Foundation, to pay tribute to and honor her friend and colleague, the late Dr. Donna Reihl, former dean of Continuing Education at CCBC.
