Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre presents Peter and the Starcatcher July 18 – Aug. 3 at CCBC Essex


Baltimore County, Md. (July 3, 2025) – Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre, in residence at CCBC Essex, will perform "Peter and the Starcatcher," a play by Rick Elice, July 18 – Aug. 3, in the F. Scott Black Theatre, Eleanor Romadka College Center at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. The production is based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson with music by Wayne Barker. Nancy Gibbs, Greg Schaffert, Eva Price, Tom Smedes and Disney Theatrical Productions created the original Broadway production.

"Peter and the Starcatcher" is a wildly inventive prequel to Peter Pan, blending humor, adventure and heart. Set in a fantastical world, the play follows a young Peter and his companions as they embark on a thrilling journey to thwart pirates and discover the secrets of a magical starstuff. With a dynamic cast, imaginative staging, and a mix of wit and whimsy, this family-friendly production explores the origins of beloved characters, offering a fresh twist on the classic tale. Perfect for all ages, "Peter and the Starcatcher" is an unforgettable theatrical adventure.
