Baltimore County, Md. (Sept. 16, 2026) – The Gallery at CCBC Catonsville proudly presents “Overlay,” an exhibition that brings together artists whose practices explore the relationship between material process and meaning through fiber, collage, photography, painting, and mixed media. On display through Oct. 2, the exhibition uses layering, accumulation, transparency, and concealment as both visual and conceptual strategies to examine how identity, memory, and lived experience are constructed over time.
Curated by Nicole Buckingham Kern, the exhibition features artwork by Zoë Charlton, Kini Collins, Caitlin Gill, Sanzi Kermes, and Jennifer McBrien.
The public is invited to a special event celebrating the exhibition and its artists on Sept. 24, 6 – 8 p.m., in The Gallery at CCBC Catonsville, located in the Center for the Arts, Room 100, 800 South Rolling Rd.
Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, please visit www.ccbcmd.edu/galleries.
