Scholarships and Grants

Scholarships and grants make the benefits of a CCBC education attainable for students from a variety of backgrounds.

These types of financial assistance do not need to be repaid and are typically awarded to students who have demonstrated financial need, academic merit or are preparing for certain career fields. Students may apply for scholarships and grants after they are enrolled in classes at CCBC.

Federal Grants

The Department of Education offers a variety of federal grants to students attending community colleges.

Maryland Scholarships and Grants

The Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) is committed to assisting Maryland residents and families to complete their education. OSFA has scholarship and grant programs based on a student's financial need, talents, and gifts or on career choice.

CCBC Scholarships and Grants

Our friends in the community support CCBC's mission of providing accessible, affordable, high-quality education by contributing generously to scholarships and grants to many CCBC students. Once students have a CCBC student ID, know their program of study and are registered for classes, they are invited to apply for grants and scholarships through our CCBC Grant and Scholarship Portal.
