Database Certificate, Credit Certificate
Students will create relational databases and explore other database design and development topics.
Program objectives
The Database Certificate will prepare students for employment as entry-level database programmers and designers or provide current professionals with essential database programming and design skills.
Upon graduating with a Database Certificate, students will be able to:
- design and develop databases using current relational database software and technologies.
- use DBMS and Data Manipulation Language to manipulate and maintain data and produce reports.
- assist in developing and implementing database security, user permissions, backup, and recovery.
- employ a broad knowledge of technical skills and best practices related to database concepts.
- demonstrate appropriate ethical and professional conduct related to technology and computing practices.
