Lambda Epsilon Chi

Lambda Epsilon Chi (“LEX”) is the Paralegal Studies Honor Society at CCBC.

Invitations to join LEX are issued to those students in the Paralegal Studies program who meet the following criteria:

  1. An overall cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or higher and a program specific grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

  2. Completed at least two-thirds of their required coursework towards an A.A.S. degree or a certificate in Paralegal Studies.
    1. A.A.S. degree candidate — completed 40 credits out of a total of 60 credits required for the A.A.S. degree; and 20 of the 40 credits must be either LGST program required or elective courses under the Legal Studies curriculum .
    2. Certificate candidate — completed a minimum of 20 credits out of the 30 program credits required for the certificate.
LEX inductions are held every spring semester and graduating LEX students are awarded a purple honor cord to wear at graduation.
