Online Admissions Process for Radiography

We appreciate your interest in the Radiography program at CCBC Essex and want to make certain that you are successful.

The Radiography program is a selective admissions program. Although the Community College of Baltimore County has an open door policy for general admission, enrollment in the School of Health Professions programs is competitive.

SHP CAS Checklist for Radiography

Step 1 - Prepare to Apply

Review the Admission Packet for this program.

Collect pertinent materials like unofficial transcripts for all US college‐level coursework and testing completed. Use these to help you complete the application.

CLEP, AP and non‐US college transcript evaluations (AACRAO, WES etc.) should be sent directly to CCBC’s School of Health Professions (SHP) Admission Office.

Step 2 - Complete SHP CAS Application

If you have never before applied through the SHP CAS system, then create an account in SHP CAS through the applicant portal and follow the directions to complete the applications.

If you applied using the SHP CAS System before, then login and verify that all areas are correct. If you have taken additional courses, you must add them and send an official transcript showing the completed or in‐progress courses.

Once all sections of the application have a green check mark, you will be able to pay the $50 non‐refundable application fee. It is better to submit the application at least a month before the application deadline.
  • April 15 for Fall start

Step 3 - Official Transcripts

If your college sends hard copy transcripts, submit your official U.S. college transcripts to SHP CAS using the Transcript Request Form. The Transcript Request Form is found in the Academic History section after you have added and saved all of the colleges you attended. Have your college send the official transcripts (this includes any CCBC transcripts) and the form to SHP CAS at:

SHP CAS Transcript Processing Center
P.O. Box 9134
Watertown, MA 02471

If your college sends electronic transcripts, be sure to include your SHP CAS ID number in the address line to be sure your transcript is attached to your applicant file.

CLEP, AP, and non‐U.S. college transcript evaluations should not be sent to the SHP CAS. Instead, send them to CCBC’s School of Health Professions (SHP) Admission Office. It can take 4 weeks for any transcript to be received and verified. Check your SHP CAS account frequently and follow up with the processing center as necessary. It is better to send transcripts sooner rather than later.

Step 4 - Test Scores

Submit official TEAS scores to CCBC’s SHP Admissions office. Select CCBC TEAS at time of testing to have official transcripts sent.

We strongly recommended the below score for Radiography admission:
  • Composite = Proficient or higher

The TEAS exam must be completed by the TEAS deadline of:
  • April 1

Step 5 - Supplemental Information

After you submit your CAS application, CCBC will send an email update. You may be requested to complete a supplemental application.
  • You will only receive this email if it applies to you.
  • There is no additional fee associated with the supplemental information application.

Step 6 - Communication

Expect communication regarding your application status via email. You may also log into your SHP CAS account to see notifications.
