American Military University (AMU) and American Public University (APU) offer 200+ online asynchronous degree and certificate programs. AMU and APU are part of the American Public University System (APUS), which is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Up to 90 credits accepted in transfer credit toward a bachelor’s degree: academic coursework, professional training and certifications, work experience, military service, CLEP, DANTES, ACE-evaluated courses and training, Joint Services Transcript (JST) and Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) are considered.
APUS students come with a vast array of work experience and training, and APUS recognizes that not all learning has resulted from traditional classroom attendance. Their Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) program provides you with the opportunity to earn credit for learning outside the confines of a traditional classroom.
Students intending to transfer should complete the admission application for American Public University System following the third semester of their associate degree program.

APUS will extend an undergraduate book grant to students, as applicable. APUS will waive any technology fee incurred by incoming transfer students who completed a CCBC degree before transferring to APUS. |
If a student has not earned their associate degree before transferring to APUS, it is possible to transfer credits from APUS back to CCBC to earn a degree from CCBC. If you are interested in reverse transfer, send an email to reversetransfer@apus.edu.
