Digital Accessibility at CCBC

CCBC is committed to ensuring that web and mobile content is available to and usable by everyone, including users with disabilities.

This commitment to digital accessibility is based on three facts:

It’s the right thing to do.
Accessible digital content provides access to core CCBC services for individuals with disabilities both online and in the classroom, providing them with the same level of access to educational opportunity that CCBC provides to all.
It’s the law.
Federal law requires institutions like CCBC to meet certain standards in their digital content to ensure that individuals with disabilities have equal access to educational services.
Accessibility helps everyone.
The enhancements of accessible design offer benefits to all users, whether they have a disability or not. All users find accessible digital content easier to read, easier to navigate and faster to download, allowing them to accomplish their goals more efficiently.

What do we do?

The CCBC Digital Accessibility Advisory Board works to encourage the adoption of best practices by providing oversight and resources to the college community.
