Overlay brings together artists whose practices explore the relationship between material process and meaning through fiber, collage, photography, painting, and mixed media. Using layering, accumulation, transparency, and concealment as both visual and conceptual strategies, the exhibition examines how identity, memory, and lived experience are constructed over time.

The artists featured in this exhibit stand as testaments to the enduring force of creativity. Born during the years surrounding World War II, they have lived through extraordinary changes—social, political, and cultural. Their lives have been shaped by eras of both great conflict and tremendous progress, and their art reflects understanding that only time can bestow.
"Time and Tenacity: Celebrating 80" creates a record of the commitment of the artists. Their work serves as a reminder that age is a gateway to deeper understanding and richer expression. Their art is a testament to the idea that true artistry knows no age, and that the beauty of creation lies not just in its inception, but in its persistence.

The Portfolio Class is our art students' capstone course and prepares them for their next steps in their careers, be that moving onto a 4-year institution or entering the work force. This exhibition delves into Blaze Starr's journey from her humble beginnings in West Virginia to her reign as the "Queen of Baltimore Burlesque." The exhibit highlights facets of her career not often explored- as an emancipated woman, one with considerable business acumen. On display are objects from her life - from dresses and performance programs to her personally designed chaise lounge that she used in her act.

The Empty Hourglass Project is an ongoing community art project and safe space for people of all ages who’ve been affected by trauma, mental illness, abuse, suicide, and grief to share their stories, their art, and to experience healing through creative expression. This exhibition was a two-part experience at the Galleries at CCBC. The first exhibition was held October 10–Decemebr 2, 2022 at the Essex campus gallery. Starting on September 5, 2023, the second exhibition was held at the Gallery at CCBC Catonsville.

The Gallery at CCBC Catonsville is honored to be hosted Baltimore Watercolor Society's latest Mid-Atlantic Exhibition. This historic group is the third oldest watercolor society to be founded in the United States and has been putting together this juried art show since its inception in 1885.
This juried exhibition featured 91 artists from all over the mid-Atlantic region. The judge for the submissions and awards was Kathleen S. Giles, AWS, NWS.
This year, the judge for the submissions and awards is Kathleen S. Giles, AWS, NWS. Giles herself is a masterful watercolorist, having been featured in journals such as Pratique Des Arts Magazine, Watercolor Artist Magazine, and International Artist Magazines. She's won many awards for her stunning creations.
