Founded in 1972, Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre remains Baltimore County's premier theatrical summer destination.
Cockpit in Court, located at CCBC Essex, offers large-scale musicals in our 388-seat F. Scott Black Theatre; comedies and dramas in our intimate 160-seat Cabaret Theatre; and high-energy children’s musicals in our 220-seat Lecture Hall.
More than 8,000 audience members visit us each summer, and more than a hundred area artists, performers, directors and musicians offer their talents on stage and behind the scenes.
