Beyond the classroom

At CCBC, the relationships you develop are just as important as your academics. With a variety of clubs and organizations, there are endless opportunities to connect with other students, grow personal and professional skills, serve the community and explore your passions.

Voices of student leadership

Whether they're planning events, mentoring new students or advocating for their peers, CCBC's student leaders find meaningful ways to engage with our campus communities. And the best way to understand the value of our leadership opportunities is to hear directly from the students who got involved, made an impact and now inspire others to do the same.

Akira Tisdale

Akira successfully helped bridge the gap between students and campus decision-makers. And she did it without having to sacrifice her academic goals thanks to CCBC's flexibility and supports.

Apply to the SGA

SGA has taught me how to be a better leader and how to help my peers become student leaders. SGA has taught me that my voice matters.

Sadaf Kaleem

Sadaf embraced every opportunity to make a lasting impact at CCBC. As a Student Engagement Ambassador, she acted as a trusted resource for her peers, leading with enthusiasm, dedication and a genuine passion for helping others.

 Become an Ambassador

Students who actively participate on campus have more opportunities to earn scholarships and internships. The ties you make with your classmates and teachers will serve you well in the long run.

Heba Obaid

As a member of the Student Programming Board, Heba  planned events that brought her peers together to create lasting memories. In turn, she gained the confidence and connections that shaped the person she is today.

 Join the Programming Board

The Student Programming Board helped me grow- not only as a student, but also as a person learning to push through personal challenges and chase my goals.

Dev Patel

Dev helped new students carve out a path of their own at CCBC. From campus life to academic supports, Dev helped his peers build a strong foundation of community supports from the very start of their CCBC journey.

 Serve as an FYE Mentor

The more involved I got, the more friends I made and CCBC slowly started to feel more like home.

Daisy Mears

I joined Film Club through a professor’s recommendation, and it’s been a great way to connect with friends and explore storytelling in film.
