The Testing and Assessment is a member of the National College Testing Association’s (NCTA) and adheres to the organization's Professional Standards and Guidelines.Testing and Assessment is also a member of the Maryland College Testing Association.
If you are a current student and would like to schedule an appointment or you are a newly admitted student who is ready to begin placement testing, you can do so through the myCCBC portal.
Most students starting at CCBC, including all certificate and degree-seeking students, must complete placement testing in math and English when they enter the college. These assessments show what you already know and help us place you in courses that match your skill level.
Please note: you need to finish the placement process before registering for classes.

You may not need to complete a course placement assessment if you can provide official documentation dated within the last 5 years showing:
You may also be exempt if you have successfully completes college-level English or Math courses at another college. To be exempt, you must send official transcripts to Student Records.
To ensure a smooth start to your semester, we recommend completing your placement testing and submitting any required documents as early as possible. Below is the suggested timeframe for providing documents and/or completing the placement tools:
