In 2012, she was honored as an Innovator of the Year and one of Maryland’s Most Admired CEOs and was named among 2011 Top 50 Most Influential Marylanders. The Kathy and Jerry Wood Foundation is a private, charitable foundation established in 2006 through the wills of the late Kathy and Jerry Wood. Despite not having any children of their own, Kathy and Jerry Wood had employed over 3,000 young adults through their businesses and were proud to mentor and guide them to a better future. A. Eugene Hoeper Foundation
Created by the late Bernice Hoeper in honor of her late husband A. Eugene Hoeper, the A. Eugene Hoeper Foundation was a nonprofit organization dedicated to provide support to programs designed to help alleviate extreme loneliness and isolation experienced by chronically ill and home-bound deaf individuals through visitations and Cheer-by-Mail. Phillip E. and Carole R. Ratcliffe Foundation
Established in 2003 to help boost entrepreneurial education and programs, Carole R. and the late Phillip E. Ratcliffe Foundation was the result of Philip’s long and industrious career that began in business and real estate development. He founded the Metropolitan Maintenance Company and was the owner of the Maryland Management Company for more than 39 years. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated millions of dollars to colleges across the nation that promote entrepreneurship education and initiatives.
