Out of high school, Nichelle took psychology courses at CCBC. However, she was anxious to start working to make money, so she put her studies aside. During this time, she and her fiancé started making juice recipes for a healthier lifestyle and cleaner eating. Soon, friends, family and others became interested. The juices became in such high demand that Nichelle knew she needed more funding and expertise in order to grow a business.
As a first-time entrepreneur, this is where my path crossed with CCBC again. CCBC provided me with direct support to get my business off the ground through the Center for Business Innovation (CBI).
Through CBI, Nichelle received mentorship from other business owners and developed a comprehensive business plan for her co-owned business, Treehouse Juicery. CBI helped her take her business idea and make it flourish into a successful enterprise that benefits her Baltimore community and allows her to be her own boss.
